Slow Stitching #63

More 1/2" hexi flowers:

I'm having fun stitching up from my scraps, and then finding a center fabric to contrast, with occasional fussy cutting.   I didn't realize how many of these I had been sewing up!

Got my greens and blue greens in here for St. Patrick's day.

    1. Yes, I didn't realize how much green I had in my scrap bin. And the greens go towards the blues and even the dark, muddy brown ones. quite a range in colors.

    1. They are fun to make. And you can work on them anywhere, so you can make progress away from home.

    1. Thanks for your comment. Yes, the stitching is quite relaxing. a good way to slow down and enjoy the moment, while fondling some fabric scraps.

    1. Thanks for your comment. I decided the flowers in my garden I like the most either have a dark outside and a bright/warm center, or a warm outside and a dark center - think sunflower or poppy or black eyed susan. So I've been experimenting with my scraps, even doing some fussy cutting to get interesting patterns for the centers. And realizing I don't have a lot of really bright oranges and yellows.

    1. Thanks Pat. I have smaller ones to work on. I'm trying to reduce how many hexi's I have basted. I didn't think I had that many, but the box I basted is quite large.
